This project was created for a couple that built several times prior and now wanted to settle into something that would be their home for many years to come.The clients were open to trying something more Transitional with a Prairie Style roof line. This enabled us to maximize the height and capture the ocean view. The interior of the home was designed for dinner parties and to accommodate the clients’ personal needs and interests, with views across the golf course pond to the sea. The main floor has a mix of 12 and 10 foot ceiling heights. To cozy up the high ceilings in the main living area, we crafted a backlit floating walnut ceiling detail that would become the main interior feature of the home.
